Clip to ScrapBook
We have a math series with TONS of worksheets. If we used them all I'm sure we could make them last clear from first grade into third! What I've done, and I know others in my building have done is to weed through the worksheets and select the ones that really make sense for this group for this year. It doesn't hurt kids to do some worksheets. But it's crazy to make them do ones that are either too easy, too difficult, not worth the paper they're written on, etc. As teachers we have to be selective. You might try the 4 block reading and writing but keep a few of the worksheets for centers work or as review. This way you don't ditch the worksheets altogether, but will use the ones that are appropriate.
