end of grade testing

Although I am not a teacher, as a parent I also feel pressure. My son is in the 7th grade at a school in North Carolina, he has never passed the EOG in reading, he was waivered from 6th grade.

He went to Summer Education Programs this summer but still failed the test by 3 points. I feel that retaining him is not in his best interest but we are appealing.

He ended up with a high C grade for Language Arts for the and also had a B for the 1st and 2nd 9 weeks of the school year. I do not feel it is right to put a number on a child just because of their scores.
