Dress
By Tricia

Clip to ScrapBook
I was mentored by a former principal and she told me that capris are a big no no and frowned upon by administration. Once tenure is achieved you can dress how you like but I would avoid summer casual wear like capris and sleeveless tops. I took her advice and landed a teaching job within 2 months after doing what I thought was the way to go for three years of misery and subbing. I was told that the way we dress is definitely held against us. Not fair but the way the system works. She told me that they even look at the shoes you wear. So unless you 'know' someone I would be careful about what you choose to wear. I even changed my hair and makeup! Sorry I am not more helpful than this.
