behavior mod for autistic students
By Karaoke Kate

Clip to ScrapBook
My students are very severely disabled...MR as well as autistic....seizure activity etc...obsessive/compulsive....ie: one has to touch certain doors, windows, follow a pattern going down the hall....which usually is not
a problem however then HE decides to change it.....same thing with a daily routine....he might go along fine for weeks, then HE decides its not his routine anymore....headbangs or gets agressive when He doenst have his way.....we're working on a communication board..however he's pretty low cognitively..a picture schedule and most activities do not interest him in the least and he just throws
them out of his way...we're working on daily living skills however in a public school setting, its not the most ideal. We have an ordinary classroom with little to work with in that area....
