welcome
By Susan/5th

Clip to ScrapBook
I'd love to hear more ideas. I'm afraid I don't do anything out of the ordinary. I'll have a desk nameplate with their name on one side and some rules on the other side (so it stands up and I can see their name, but they can see the rules!). This nameplate can be decorated/colored after they finish the other activity on their desk (a letter to me telling me about themselves and their family). I'll also have a homework pass on their desk that is a "freebie" (normally they don't get them until they complete their homework all month) and a sharpened pencil. That's it! I want them to come in ready to work and listen, so I've never done a big welcome packet. I'm up for ideas, though!
