Although it is not professional sometimes laughter is the best medicine and you have to take things with a grain of salt. This may have been the opportunity to turn the comment around in front of the class and to show your human side. I probably would have responded back with, " Thank you for the wonderful dude introduction dude". I dont think this person ment to be disrespectful but probably just wasnt thinking. I have managed to maitin the respect of my students even when the names were sometimes less than proper. I have a good laugh and focus the class attention back to matters at hand and the name I have put on the board. If i show that I am bothered by certain names than I am guarenteed that they will be used again and again.
