Hi! I tell about our theme in the classroom first. Then I highlight the reading and math curriculum. I mention science and social studies and then discuss in great length our behavior program, daily folders and homework schedule. I list my email and the best times to contact me at school. I have learned through the years to make it energetic and exciting. Always make things sound positive, even your behavior consequences. Have a rough draft ready and have a friend read it over. Oh, and I never write more than one page. I usually decorate the border of the letter also. Since it is your first year teaching you might want to start with a little bit about your background. Parents are always curious about someone new! Make it so they can't wait to meet you! Good Luck!
