You just have to read 2 wonderful books on discipline. Both are by Fred Jones, Positive Classroom Discipline and Tools for Teaching. The second book actually has alot of the first book in it so if you had to choos just one book, go with the Tools for Teaching. I have just finished it and am starting to read it again. Let me know what you think after reading it. I think it is just what you want. I have been teaching for 15 years, the last 5 in 4th grade and though I feel my classroom management is good, there are always the few students who will ruin your day if you let them. This book is so good in heading off any problems and creating a classroom atmosphere of learning, motivation, and cooperation, and fun for all.
