Jeanne-
A simple idea for a snack on the first day of school would be to use Teddy Grahams. If you want something a little harder you could make Beary Good Biscuits. You would need a parent volunteer to help with the
cooking. Just use canned biscuits, cinnamon sugar, butter and raisins. Roll the biscuit in melted butter and coat with the cinnamon sugar. Cut another biscuit into fourths(teaching fractions already). Coat those pieces the same way and shape into two ears. Then add raisins for the eyes, nose and mouth. Then bake. This is probably a little hard for the first day. But it would make
a great activity for later. You could decorate your room with Teddy Bears, have a Teddy Bear Parade and even a picnic outside with your Teddy Bears. Hope this helps. Yvonne
