getting ready

Clip to ScrapBook
I know you've probably heard this a million times, but it always helps me to read the Harry Wong First Days of School book. That mentally prepares me more than anything. Do you have your other textbooks? Your school should have a website and/or state website where you can pull the benchmarks from. Then you can sit down and at least draw out a rough outline of what you'll be teaching (at least in the beginning). Draw out a plan for your classroom decoration ideas so it's not overwhelming when you first walk in. Our kids come this Friday and I just got my schedule yesterday and don't get my class list until tomorrow, so that's very normal. Just prepare what you can and the other will fall into place. You'll do fine!!
