by Gary Paulsen

Paulsen is great here again. A fun and laughing realistic fiction read, this has been added to my read aloud list.

*A Week in the Woods
by Andrew Clements

Reading this now and I don't want to put this down. (Realistic Fiction)

*The Heart of a Chief
by Joseph Bruchac

Historical Fiction/Native American ( Main character, Chris in the 6th grade) Conflict: man vs man, man vs self. (good read)

*Trial By Jury/Journal
by Kate Klise

Reading format is great. Another "can't put book down". Illustrations are incredible.

* Flying Solo
by Ralph Fletcher

What a descriptive author! 6th grade setting with a host of fun characters.
