star student

Clip to ScrapBook
In addition to the poster about favorite foods, sports, school subject, family members and wish for the future, my star (superkid I call him/her) brings a "Brag Bag" to school, which is a book bag I've provided. Inside is
a letter asking the parent to help the child choose items to bring to school that reflect their interests, hobbies, family, favorites....not just toys. The child shares the items and we ask questions about them. I keep notes and write up the interview, and publish it on neato computer paper to display. The superkid is line leader, helper, gets to sit on a special comfy chair, gets to
invite a friend or parent to eat lunch at a specially decorated table, can stay in for recess on the classroom computers with a friend, and gets to chew gum in school.
