My neice did something like a postcard exchange in her classroom. I also teach in 4th grade in IL. I always get ideas from my kids teachers and my neice's teachers. Anyway... the teacher made a broshure explaining their U.S. (regions) study. Part of the broshure she mailed to us asked us to copy and mail it to two people we knew from another state and then asked that we send a postcard from our state to her school address. Kind of like a chain letter, but the kids got postcards sent to them from all over the U.S. I guess they tracked them on a large map in the classroom. I thought about doing that this year. My neice is from Wisconsin, thats why I got one of the letters. Hope this helps!!
