Clip to ScrapBook
My son's 2nd grade teacher did that last year - and I think I may copy it this year. She had a specific folder for only papers that had a form in the front that was dated by the teacher and signed by the parent. The parent looks at the graded papers, signs the form, and sends the whole folder back. The teacher then files all the graded papers. The same folder (with the same form still in it) is used every week. When the form is full, a new one is stapled in there and that one is filed. I think doing it monthly might be too long to wait - the parents need to know earlier if there is a problem with their child's grades.

I hope that makes sense - it seemed to work well for them.
