Centers
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
I am thinking of doing some centers with my 6th graders this year, but I'm trying to think of a more sophisticated name for them... Maybe "Learning Labs". Anyway, I think I'll have about five a week set out, in various subject
areas (like spelling, math, science, etc.) and I'll just get some buckets that will have all the supplies and a laminated direction card, so that they don't take up space and the kids can bring them back to their desks when they finish their work. I'm not sure I'm going to assign them or separate time for them, since we've got so much to do. But for those kids that always finish
early and don't want to just read, they can find a fun hads-on learning activity to spend their time on.

Let me know what you think or if you have any other ideas!
