Spirals
By Holly S

Clip to ScrapBook
I am not sure if this idea is exactly what you are looking for but.... I have each student get a spiral and label each page with a letter of the alphabet. Page 1 has A page 2 B and so on. Then, every week they are to put their spelling words on the appropriate pages. They also have to add in the language and math words of the week. During writing time, if I have to help them spell a word, they have to add that to their spiral as well. Before they are allowed to ask me how to spell a word, they must have their spiral open on the correct page and the word at least started. This helps with constantly respelling the same words for the students. By the end of the year, it's a very big resource. Hope this has helped you!
