6th Grade
By Melisa

Clip to ScrapBook
I think the above listed ideas for collecting papers are great...instead of bulldog clips, you can even use the colored extra large paper clips, with each color representing a different period. (i.e. red=period 1, orange=period 2, yellow=period 3 and so on) to clip each section of papers. I have a student (or two) in charge of collecting and returning homework papers. It works out well.
6th grade is so much fun! You will love it and class time will go by FAST! I teach in an 84 minute block and there are many days where I wish I had more time. I love having a long block because it allows me to do so much with my students--I even have time for silent free-reading. Enjoy sixth grade and the kids--it is truly a terrific age group.
Best of luck!
