I am a 4th grade NEW teacher. I put the title and author of each book on an index card. They I alphabetized by title and put them in an index card box. I bought some library pockets at a teacher store and glued them on| to posterboard. Each child has a number and each pocket is numbered. When they check out a book, they find the book's card and put it in their designated library pocket. To return, I have a basket called book return. A mom helper will put the book back where it belongs. My books are organized by AR so it is a little more complicated. Since you have colors, choose a book return helper | |
