Ideas for 3rd
By Angi

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! This will be my 2nd year teaching 3rd grade, and I am still learning the best way to do things! Here are some ideas for the first day of school:

-Read the book "Chrysanthemum". Look on the web site #####.net to
get some great activites for this book and others.

-Make a list of questions for the students, such as, favorite pet, sport, food, etc. for them to answer. Give them a paper lunch sack to decorate and put the quesitons in the bag. Put all the bags away until the end of the year and let them compare how they have changed.

-Look at the web site kimskorner4teachertalk.com. This

has some good ideas.

-Give the students a sentence or small paragraph to write in cursive. Take up and give them out at the end of the year so they can compare how much they have improved.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
