AR

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, LDM. I have been using AR now for about 5 years and one thing that has really helped was mentioned already in one of the earlier replies. Try your best to encourage PTA or other available funding to purchase a wise
variety of quizzes for the program. The more the better.

Another thing that I did with my students is to allow them to set their own goals. At the beginning of each quarter or each month, sit down with them one on one during a silent reading time and set an achievable goal together. I keep a chart of every goal set and their achievements this way you can use it as a discussion when

they set their goals. I do this privately so that although my high readers reach their goals at 35-40 points per month, my lower readers set their goals for 5-10 and they both receive awards.

Hope it helps!
