will you get help from the parents? that depends on the crowd, one year i had an unemployed mom (very classy) she came on every trip. last year i had no parents to rely on. several trips i went on alone. or parents from
other classes escorted my group. many parents are at home with small children or working or many of them are going to school themselves. sometimes you can get a parent to help. i rarely had any parent volunteers, maybe once in the 9 years that i've taught. but i find that i sent home a survey if the parents were interested that their children go on a trip that cost $8 each. i thought
it would be too expensive. it was almost like they were insulted. everyone agreed to pay for the trip and that their child should have the priviledge of going. so we went on many trips. but good luck. it is really hard.
