makeshift board ideas
By Chicago Teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, I only had a bulletin board over my chalkboard and 1 other board in my classroom so I did 2 main things to compensate:

1st - I did have a lot of chalkboard space (covering 3 of my 4 walls) so I used 1 of the chalkboards
to post my rules/behavior chart and also my 50 State Postcard exchange stuff (the postcards and a map of the US). 2 years ago I also posted my word wall on the chalkboard.

2nd - Midway through the year I created mini-fake bulletin boards on the walls and chalkboards. I taped up bulletin board paper and put borders around them, then I used them to display student work. The only problem

there is that, since you are using tape, you have to tear it all down to change the student work, but I solved that by only using those to post work that I knew I would leave up for awhile.
