I know what you mean

Clip to ScrapBook
Kim,
I know what you mean. I've gone back and forth too and by mid-year it gets too little attention. Here's what I'm doing and it worked pretty well for me 2 years ago. Last year I did something different and didn't
like as well.

Two years ago I color coded my "special" blocks and times when kids are taken out of the room. Make a color transparency and then you can place it on the new plans each week. This year I'm finally repeating a grade so I'm more certain of my schedule. With this in mind I'll do most of it upfront in September and block out these times on the same transparency. By using

the transparency I eliminate the need for a lot of writing. For me, I like it better than the labels because I don't have to manipulate anything. I just pull the transparency out of the current week and update it for the next.
