I don't want to overwhelm you with too long a list, so I'll start with just a few; You'll need a birthday poster, where you display their birthdate. Months of the year and birthdates will likely be part of your math program.| Plan now what you'll do for the birthday child; some ideas; crown, special sticker in agenda or on nametag, special badge, banner on the door, birthday card, pencil, gets to be helper for the day. You will also want to purchase a blank calendar (laminate it) and buy or make date cards to apply to the calendar. Prepare your opening exercises to include counting days of school with | | sticks or strawa (need containers and number cards on a ring) days of the week (include titles yesterday was, today is and tomorrow will be) You will use magnets lots, including magnetic clips. I always put each subject on a card with magnet, so I can display the day's schedule on the chalkboard.
