Clip to ScrapBook
I don't want to overwhelm you with too long a list, so I'll start with just a few; You'll need a birthday poster, where you display their birthdate. Months of the year and birthdates will likely be part of your math program.
Plan now what you'll do for the birthday child; some ideas; crown, special sticker in agenda or on nametag, special badge, banner on the door, birthday card, pencil, gets to be helper for the day. You will also want to purchase a blank calendar (laminate it) and buy or make date cards to apply to the calendar. Prepare your opening exercises to include counting days of school with
sticks or strawa (need containers and number cards on a ring) days of the week (include titles yesterday was, today is and tomorrow will be) You will use magnets lots, including magnetic clips. I always put each subject on a card with magnet, so I can display the day's schedule on the chalkboard.
