how to be a teacher
By Jane

Clip to ScrapBook
Well, you can go two ways depending on your undergraduate degree. If you have a BA in liberal studies then would apply for the credentialing program at your University (every University has it's own program plan). Then
you would follow the plan they gave you. It should basically be a sheet telling you what courses you need to take. This may include: prequesite classes, method courses, and student teaching. You should contact an advisor or counselor to help you with this. Once you've finish your student teaching and have passed ALL requirements then your ready to interview. There is no guarentee what
grade you will have, you can interveiw for specific openings, but that limits your chances. If you have a BA in a specific area you may need to take a test like the MSAT. The procedure is bascially the same after that. I hope i've helped somewhat. I know it's overwhelming, but if you ask for help at your University it will be so much easier. Good Luck
