I'm sure the school orders from a certain company the most--my school orders from a place called School Specialty. The secretary should know--they know everything! The best book I can recommend is "Joyful Learning in Kindergarten" by Bobbi Fisher. She is an exemplary k/1 teacher, and has wonderful ideas. I make a lot of song charts for my kids, which I use for Shared Reading kinds of activities--when you're building your big book library, these help a lot!! And the Internet. That is by far my best resource. In the beginning I wasted a ton of money on resource books and unit books. These now | | just sit on my bookshelf since the Internet has become such a useful teaching tool. The Mailbox magazine is also a good one. Other teachers you know may have it, or even the library. In Poland though, I'm not sure if they would. This gives lots of unit extension ideas, centers, cooking projects, math activities... Hope this helps!
