LOVE THIS QUESTION!

I love this question because I've always wondered the same things! I have been teaching for going on 7 years now and I look very young-(NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT THAT!) The attire among staff at my school has always run from | one end of the spectrum to the other. I try to stay in the middle. Some teachers will wear shorts and a tshirt to work. I think this is inappropriate no matter what grade we teach. Other teachers wear high heels and carry Gucci bags. One thing is for sure...you're going to get dirty sometimes so wear clothes that are inexpensive enough to be ruined. Wear basics like black slacks, | |
khakis, etc. You can dress them up with a cute pair of shoes, a bracelet, etc. I have never worn make up to work, but this year I'm going to try to make that a goal. Sometimes a little lipstick is all you need to look bright and cheery in the face!
