Wow, I can see your frustration! Have you tried taking him outside in the hall and talking to him? He may not respond or make eye contact, but get a small speech ready and he has to listen. Say something like you did before| - how you want to help, but he has to cooperate. How you don't want him retained again, but you need him to tell you what would help. Maybe give him a list for him to write the top 3 things he wants you to do. If he'll do it, it may give you more insight. If he doesn't, tell him you'll leave him alone and just contact his mom every week. Every week take him out and ask if he's | | decided there's something you can do. Eventually maybe he'll come around. Why did he fail? Maybe it just takes him a while to get over that whole fact - peer pressure is rough about things like that. Please let us know how he's doing. I worry about kids like that.
