Know what you mean!!
By Terri in NC

Clip to ScrapBook
I do the same thing. Before I started teaching I collected everyting and anything. Now I am in the process of cleaning out a spare bedroom to get rid of those, "maybe I will use this somehow" things. I have already taken
one trailer load to the dumpster and shed a small tear because I know that I could have used some of that stuff for something! I have come to the conclusion that when I buy something I think whether or not I will use it within 2 years. If the answer is no then I don't buy it. Another thing is I try not to let my husband see it. He just doesn't understand this profession. I think he uses
the word "Junk" when he refers to my "treasures." I found a cabinet-cubby thing at a yard sale once with several cubbies in it. I couldn't use it for the children because there weren't enough cubbies but it worked great for storing construction paper. I paid $2.00 for it. Oh well, what a wonderful profession we are in!!
