Our first day of school is August 27th. This will by my 16th year in the classroom. Each year since the beginning I always have the same nightmare, where school starts, my room is bare, and I have nothing planned. I am running around panicking. It is amazing how these similar dreams occur each year.
I am a painfully shy person so my biggest fear is always meeting the parents and wondering how supportive they will be each year. I also pray I don't end up with severe discipline problems. This last school year I was spoiled with the most well-behaved class I have ever had. It was such a stress | |
free and fun year. I always keep a notebook near by and jot down ideas or things that need to be done. I just check things off as I go. Each year I seem to get more organized. It is always exciting when the new school supplies arrive and we start making the final preparations. Best wishes to everyone for a successful 2003-2004 school year.
