Clip to ScrapBook
We get 5 days of prep time, but within those 5 days we usually have 2 days of workshops, 1 day of meetings and if we are lucky 2 days of prep time. But some will be in 3 or 4 days of workshops and others like myself have
other committees we are on so we have more meetings than most.

Teachers start back the last week of August and the Students start back on September 2nd. We have a long weekend before the students come back so I usually spend most of it finishing setting up. While we don't have to have everything done, I prefer to have most if not all done just because it makes my life easier.

I also

do a lot of my basic photocopying back in June so that's about a day's worth of work I already have done.

And since I'm on permanent contract I am also paid over 12 months so theoretically it doesn't bother me to go in on my "own" time either. However new teachers don't have that same benefit.
