Clip to ScrapBook
Problem of the Day was my daily morning warmup for Math. I used this to preteach or reteach the content/skill. I made my own mini-worksheets which included 2 problems along with some fun math/current event facts for my students
to read after they completed the pod. (sometimes 3 or 4 pods).

The pods were due the next morning. We graded these skill worksheets (took 3-5 min)in class. Total points given 100% (50 per pblm). I recorded grades and would always note what the pod covered. I circled the date at the top if no grade was to be entered in our electronic gradebook. Students recorded their pod grade

next to the assignment noted in their daily agenda for parents to see each everning.

All paper assignments were kept in their portfolios with grade entries on their grade logs which we used for student led conferences. I reviewed their paperwork often to see how work was completed and to provide feedback on the positives and correct any areas that I could help them with.

I know it sounds time demanding, but actually this practice was quick showing positive results.
