maternity leave
By deborah first grade n.y.

Clip to ScrapBook
while i was out for maternity leave, i spoke to my sub. several times. i had some difficult children in my classs, and while i was out, they were terrrible. one of my good students's parents pulled her daughter out of the
school while i was gone. a week before i returned i was upset when i spoke to the sub. a very calm woman who told me she was glad to have my class,. i asked her why after all the trouble they caused. she said, now she knows for sure she doesnt; want to teach. how awful!!!BUT SHE stuck with the class for the 6 weeks. i was out twice for maternity leave while teaching. it is hard
to come back. you are tired from not sleeping at night. it is rough. it took some time to get the students back on track, but some developed terrrible behaviors and habits, some were hard too break. i didnt have a choice, i needed the money i had to return to work. if i had the choice, i would have stayed at home until the end of the year and returned fresh in september. all the best.
