Clip to ScrapBook
I have known teachers who have the kids sign a book each time they go to the restroom. Then if it gets excessive, you can call the parents, show them how often, and let them know you are concerned that they might have a
bladder infection. Your concern seems so genuine and the parents look into the frequent breaks.

My rule is when I teach the answer is no. Some kids just need to get up and move for a minute, also. Another suggestion if you are willing is to allow the kids a water bottle. Kids need water and often that is what they are really going for.

I know of another teacher who gave her kids

one pass a day to use outside of the times the class goes together. Once your pass is gone, you may not leave again. Use it wisely! I have never tried that, but it's a suggestion.

I personally just added a couple of extra RR breaks for my whole class when I saw the pattern. That way, I could say that "We just went" and it stopped a lot of the extra trips by individuals.

Hope some of these ideas work for you!
