Taskboard
By Misty

Clip to ScrapBook
I like it because you always have those students who finish early. I require the first 3 tasks to be done daily, but the remaining 6 will stay up for the week. Students work on these tasks that relate to what we are studying
when they finish their classwork. I haven't done this, but I know another teacher who has them put all of their taskwork in a plastic carton. When the carton is full they get to pick a class funtime activity, for example 30 minutes of gametime. I may try that this year.
Examples of task that would be on the taskboard:
Antonym concentration
Drawing a compass rose( a complete
one)
A Math Multiplication & Color Sheet
Newspaper Mini-page( Students write a paragraph about something they learned)
Hidden Object Sheet
Brain Teasers
Spelling word wordsearch
I just put up anything I think will supplement our classwork that I think will be fun, but not so fun as to entice them to not do classwork first. This also does away with them asking me what to do now? when they finish.
I hope I answered your question---if you have more I will be glad to help!
