Greggory the Terrible Eater
By Pam

Clip to ScrapBook
Here is one for the book, Greggory the Terrible Eater- about the little goat who only wanted to eat vegetables, milk, cheese, fruits.... while his poor parents moaned and worried because he wasn't eating tin cans and old
sweaters-etc...

After reading the book, put out paper plates, glue, and some "clean garbage". (I used bottle caps, paper-yarn-material scraps, packing peanuts, popcan tabs, and other small and cleaned throw-aways). Children glue the "garbage" onto the paper plate, and then you can even glue the plates onto a 9 x 12 construction paper, and add a plastic fork or spoon.

Display can

say something like "Good Goat Grub".

When I did it, I also blew-up and colored a picture of Greggory. Then hung the picture and the place mats on a b-board.

Oh- another quick one- Caps for Sale- I just made a pattern of a cap, and let each child decorate the cap how they wanted to. Then I blew-up and colored the peddler, and put my students' caps on top of the peddler----looked very cute out in the hall.

I LOVE books- I might think of a few more ideas for you. I did those projects in 2nd grade- but now I'm in 4th, so I don't do as many of those literature/art things.

Hope this helps! Pam
