HI
you can make the calendar itself on your computer....at least I can at school we can call up calendar pages and pring them....I can't remember where though sorry

as for each month...yes the kids write a poem for each
month and I have them type it on the computer so they can play around with fonts, colors etc...they print it out...we cut around it with fancy scissors or leave as it is...and then illustrate the poem....we also make a cover

the kids love to mark special days on the calendar also like their birthdays etc...

then I bind them together with a binder as you would a book...punch holes

in the top and an instant Christmas present....but you could also just use a large sheet of construction paper, glue the calendar on the bottom part and the poem and illustrations on the top....that's what I did before we got that wonderful binder machine...I also laminated the calendars when we made the full page calendar...because I thought maybe the parents would want to keep these forever? Well, I could hope anyway

I have suggested poems for each month at school....but I have moved classroom and everything is a mess. I'll see if I can put my hands on it for you
