Ok, I visited one school district yesterday. First, I stopped at their Admin building and left a huge packet of information about me including resume, contact info, trans, letters of rec, portfolio sample, etc. Then, I went
to visit each school. In all, I met 3 principals out of 6. Three schools weren't open, and one principal (which I know personally) told me that there wouldnt be any openings at his school. I called another principal by the wrong name cause they had hired a new principal over the summer. (Oops!). The last school I visited was the JACKPOT!!! A very nice lady was sitting outside on a picnic

table cause the electricity had gone off. She introduced herself as the principal and we sat talking for a long time. She asked me about my background, etc and seemed really impressed. She told me that she preferrs people coming in to see her, rather than mailing their stuff in. She also told me that she was sure that they would have openings. She was extremely nice and seemed genuinely interested in me. She told me that they would be interviewing at the first of August and she would be in touch. WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you think? I felt really happy afterwards, and I am mailing her a thank you note saying that meeting with her meant a lot to me. I dont want to get my hopes up, although. What to you guys think about this meeting?
