WOW!!!
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
Yikes, I would not like to have that many EVERYDAY??!?!?!??! Is there any way that you could cut it down to just a few days a week? I find when I have multiple parents around they spend a lot more time talking and being disruptive
in the hallways. Just a suggestion.

This is what I have my parents do that do not choose to work in the classroom:

I keep a tub by the door of my classroom with a sheet in it for directions about what I would like done. I keep in it any of the supplies they would need as well.

I throw in there anything I come across that they might like to do

Diecuts for bulletin board

titles or decorations

prepare materials for projects

make center activities for you

make copies...I dont make any copies anymore my parent volunteers do them all

put up or take down bulletin boards

laminate and or cut out laminating

filing or organizing of files

labeling books or leveling books

preparing powerpoint presentations (depending how computer literate they are of course)

typing letters and creating forms for you

See if they are willing to help other teachers as well. I often give things to another teacher for her help to complete and vice versa.

Again, good luck with that much help everyday. I have a hard time coming up with things for a helper once a week.

Hope someof these can help you though!
