Sounds like fun!! Our dollar store has decorations for a Hawaiian theme for low prices...some of them are posters with sayings in Hawaiian and translated to english. They look really cute. And of course they have leis
and flower bracelets too. Decorating for a beach theme, I have used my stuffed parrot, posters from the travel agency, a beach umbrella, seashells, a sandpail or two. I piled sand and seashells into a low tray to set on the table at the door, and plunked a mini beach chair and dolls sandals into it. You could get out your palm tree and shade your door with it. Wear sunglasses, play

some hula music, and be sure everyone has lots of sunblock on - the kind that smells of pineapple and coconut will really remind you of the beach. I would bring in all the plants I own, and be sure there is a BIG sun shining overhead. Put a lawn chair under a beach umbrella in story corner and let the kids sit on beach towels. Set some whole pineapples and coconuts around. Get some of those little paper umbrellas (Pier 1) and stick them into erasers to stand on each desk. Everyone would be encouraged to wear sandals and sunglasses and bright prints. (We always ask - no bathing suits please)
