Weekly Geogrphy Practice By Pam

I'll jump in on Lisa's question- I just bought a reproducible called "Weekly Geography Practice". I found it in a teacher's store in Des Moines, IA- so I imagine you can get it anywhere. Publisher is Steck-Vaughn, web| site is www.svschoolsupply.com . It has two questions each day, M-F, covering the five themes of geography: location, place, movement, region, and interaction. So the students aren't trying to answer a question blind, each week they have a map to refer to, to help them with the answers. I teach 4th grade, but they didn't have the 4th grade level, so I bought the 5th grade level. But- | | it seems simple enough for 4th graders to try. It's not so "wordy" as some of the practice reproducibles are. Here is an example: Monday-Name the river shown on the map. What is the only interstate highway shown on the map? Tuesday- Which city is located 12 miles east and 9 miles mortheast of Schnell? In what general direction does State Highway 50 run? And so on. Again, they look at the weekly map to answer the questions. The maps are only 1/2 page in size. Not ctice reproducibles are. Here is an example: Monday-Name the river shown on the map.
