Suggestions.....
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
Well, I don't know if I have suggestions per say, but here goes.

For new visitors, it's great when you participate because most of us really love to get as many ideas as possible.

Don't be discouraged if your post is
not answered right away. Reposting it a few days later sometimes does the trick.

Be specific - I noticed that many of the unanswered posts are ones that ask for a lot of ideas or information. To properly answer those types of posts one would have to spend an hour typing out a response. So ask specific questions or at least stream-line your questions.

No question is silly, dumb or

useless. Chances are if you have a question, so do others.

Read through the posts and see if your questions are already answered. Sometimes I'll see the same question asked by eight different people all in a short space of time. Often the first few posts get responses, the later ones do not.

Be free to state your opinions but try to keep the posts on a civil basis. Most posters are great at keeping things positive and civil, but on occasion there are posters who do go overboard. If you are a new visitor please do not take offense if someone does attack your questions or viewpoints.

Also keep in mind that even though this is a board for teachers, it is open to anyone in the general public and we do get "non-teachers" who come in and try to stir things up.

Also if posts do get out of hand - email the board editors - they are great and they do take care of the problems.

Most important - have fun!
