I am doing an ocean theme too and have several boards. You might have already seen my ideas posted, but here they are just in case.

My welcome board is covered in waves fabric for the most part with a little bit of blue
paper at the top for the sky. Where the paper and fabric meet, I have put blue tulle in scallops to create waves. A boat is at the top with a fishing pole coming down under the tulle and you can see the hook where the wave fabric is. There are fish in the water with each child's name. It says, "Welcome to ________'s Reef! It's Oceans of Fun!" It turned out really cute! My Homeworkopoly
board says, "Don't Get Shipwrecked....Do Your Homework!" with a big captain's wheel. I have a real net with fish(colorful poster-type ones)in it and a sign that says, "Internet Island" with an island on it and captions, "Get Caught Up In the Net" and "Surf the Net". My Math Board says, "Make a Splash into Math" and "Sail Through Multiplication" with sailboats. My Welcome board is going to change in a few weeks (I'll just take the fish off and put a treasure chest 'sunk' to the bottom) and will read "Work To Treasure".
My US (fabric)Map says, "Crawl Across the USA with Mr. Krabs". I have a huge crab that looks like he's walking at the top of the map.

"Sands of Times" is the calendar and "Behavior Beach" is where rules, consequences, rewards, etc. are listed and is complete with a beachcomber's hat, leis, and bamboo pole. "Star Student" has starfish around it and the child's picture and info will be added as they are picked.

Hope this helps you some.
