Thank you so much for your kind words. I really don't know why I am the way I am. I have always been this way I think it is my creative mom Plus everyone thinks I go overboard about everything. It was an ongoing joke
about how prepared and organized I was in college. Here's a secret: My teaching stuff is always organized. I live, breath, dream about teaching every day and night. I would go so far as to say I am OCD about everything that has to do with teaching. But if you came to my house and saw my room...way different story I should take pictures of it and put it on the site

Anyways, the pc

exchange is from here. I joined with Jenn Walker. We are getting ready to start at the end of August/beginning of September. All the board is is yellow fadeless paper, sparkle border and a piece of fabric I got at Walmart for $3.00 I made little pushpin frogs. I just hot glued little resin frogs onto normal pushpins. Each time we get a card, we will locate where it is from on the map and stick in our frog. The class is also going to have individual blank USA maps. We will also label that state with its capital and region. You gotta incorporate something educational As if it is not educational enough...I just make more work for myself.

My library system is fairly easy to do, yet took me about 12 total hours to complete. Each AR book is labeled with a sticker to show the level. Then each book's title, author, and book level/point level was written on an index card. Each child is assigned a # at the beginning of the year. That is their # for everything from attendance to getting in line. Anyways, each class has a poster full of #ed library pockets. To check out a book, they must find the books card in the card catalog of index cards. I can incorporate research skills with this because this is a state obj. When they find the card, they write their name and date on the back (very small), and put it in their assigned pocket. By writing the date, I know who has had their book for a ridiculous amount of time. I have a basket infront of the bookcase for book returns. THey will just grab the card from their pocket, stick it in their book and put it in the basket. ONe of my parent volunteers will take care of putting each book back.

Sorry this is so long I hope it made sense. I am going to school today to finish up everything. I will take some more pictures.

Laura
