I believe in fair play...I was clear to differentiate between a long-term sub. call where the planning period(s) become absolutely necessary versus the 1 day here, 1 day there type where, as you point out, we just don't have the same demands as the teacher. Interesting on the farm workers - we have two vegetable canning companies here and lots of workers come up from Texas; they work darned hard, long days and in hot conditions. Nowadays they do get frequent breaks, lots different than years ago when they had to literally collapse to even get someone to cover. Best, K
