Bear Fun
By BuzyBee

Clip to ScrapBook
Welcome Board: "A Beary Big Welcome to Ms. ___'s Class"

Nametags: Use a clipart program (Printshop, Word) to put each students name on a teddy bear. Print on cardstock and laminate. I used these and they lasted half
a year.

Job Chart: Make little pockets and little paper bears. Put the job names on the pockets and the kids names on the bears. "Beary Good Helpers!"

Travelling Bear: Get a small bear and a little bag/suitcase. Give the bear a little book/travel journal. Have one student take it home each weekend and get help from a family member writing about it's journey. (I knew a first

grade teacher who did this and the kids LOVED it, they called him "Button Bear."

Student of the Week/Month: "Beary Good Student Award" Make a little bear certificate to give each week/month to the chosen student."

Bear Paws: Put large bear paw prints leading to the carpet/reading corner.

Bear Fabric: Check out Wal-Mart for inexpensive teddy bear fabric to cover bulletin boards. I love using it because it doesn't show staple holes and lasts all year.

Teddy Bear: Get a little teddy bear to let students hold during story time for a special reward.
