You will need to talk to your school's (or possibly your district's) Webmaster, i.e. whoever maintains the site. Unless you have the FTP (File Transfer Protocol, I believe) software on your classroom computer, you will not| be able to upload to your school's site. The Webmaster will have to do it for you. Talk to your Webmaster. In the meantime, here's some info: You can use Microsoft Office products to create Web pages. Here is a site with a GREAT explanation for how to use MS Word: http://www.ri.net/schools/Central_Falls/ro/holly7/spin.html#top You |
| can create your site in Word and then have your Webmaster upload it for you.If you want to create an independent site, not housed on your school/district server, here are two places you can do that. They are not very sophisticated, but they are free and easy to use, and I have never seen them get blocked by any filtering software (unlike Yahoo's GeoCities). http://wizard.hprtec.org/index.php3 (I recommend this one.) http://www.kn.pacbell.com/wired/fil/ (This one is not quite as good, but it has several formats you can use.) I don't know a lot about this topic, but I do work with educational technology. E-mail me if anything I have written here doesn't make sense.
