If your tree is 3-D, why not put a stuffed lion on a branch, or on the floor under the tree? If you can't find an affordable stuffed lion, blow one up on bb paper and stuff it with newspaper. Some slogan ideas could be:"First graders are lion-hearted" " No 'Lion', We're Tryin'" "Mrs. L's Learning Lions" "Likeable Lions Live Here"
"Now Entering Mrs.L's Learning Den" "Our Pride is Showing" with little lions on your door with names(faces too if you can get small pics of the kids)
Sounds like a fun school theme!
