Liberalism By Red

|
I have seen liberalism crop up in the topics of reading in reading classes. And the choices of famous people in Social Studies. And the topics of research papers in English classes. Choices of plays in Drama classes. It | seems like some educators want to use the school system to promote leftist ideology. Take the equality issue. Mainstreaming is really about equality so the bright students won't act like they are better than the special needs (the politically correct terms we use these days is pathetic). Liberal views about discipline, instruction, cirriculum seem to dominate many schools. There seems | | to be a belief that more money for schools or teachers would improve the quality of education. Yet a big bureacracy actually robs the schools and teachers of money. Actually too much governmental intervention has hurt the schools more than helped them though it isn't politically popular to say this. Bottom line: Conservative views should be welcome in the schools. Schools shouldn't promote a leftist agenda without recognizing the views of those on the right.
