1. I cut my job description to three jobs. They are the most relevant anyway. 2. I put all my education at the top of my resume. This way they could see that I had over 100 hours in training for Language Arts. 3. Last, I kept my cover letter short. No novel for me. I would say something like; 'Not noted on my resume are the 146 professional development hours. . .' These three things were simple to do and because of these changes, I have been hired to teach a Third Grade Class next year during a no-hiring freeze in my district. Hope this helps!
